Volunteer for the 2020 Youth Count and Outreach Project
The 2020 Connecticut Youth Outreach and Count will be conducted January 22nd to 28th. This statewide effort gathers details of how many youth are experiencing homelessness in Connecticut. The data that is collected and analyzed during this week-long count will provide valuable insight into many aspects of youth homelessness and ultimately drive systematic change. The goal of the Youth Outreach and Count is to better understand the circumstances and needs of youth experiencing homelessness so that the state can provide the appropriate resources to prevent homelessness or assist this population. Volunteers conduct surveys at places such as youth service bureaus, schools, and colleges about their housing experiences. The Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness is seeking volunteers to join this important effort. Connecticut is recognized as a national leader for its work in youth homelessness and is seeking volunteers to assist with this important effort.
All volunteers are trained and serve as part of a team.
